Fatigue is one of the most common and limiting symptoms in MS. Multiple phase 1 studies have shown NB-UVB phototherapy to be safe and immune stabilizing for CIS and MS patients. While approved for dermatology, this treatment is investigational for MS and should only be considered in consultation with your medical provider to ensure it is appropriate for your specific needs.

“I’m not kidding, this gave me my life back.“
Cytokind, in collaboration with the Kids Research Institute of Australia and Octave BioSciences, Inc., is the first to correlate MS fatigue to inflammation and measure the beneficial effects of NB-UVB.
Our research used the Fatigue Severity Scale (FSS) — a validated 9-question assessment that captures how fatigue affects daily life in MS patients.
NB-UVB therapy helps balance the immune response, including reducing inflammation and fatigue. It significantly expanded regulatory T-cells and reduced switch-memory B-cells.
In the PhoCIS trial, FSS scores were significantly correlated with NB-UVB treatment and reduced MS disease activity — offering a non-drug path forward.
